Renovation of Girls’ toilet in Govt Hr Sec School, Malli, Ullurpatti (June-2025)
In a commendable effort to improve the condition of school infrastructure, OVOR has undertaken the renovation of the girls’ toilet in a government school. The facility, which had been in poor condition for quite some time, is now being transformed into a clean, safe, and usable space for the students.
Sanitation in schools is not just about convenience—it plays a vital role in promoting health, dignity, and uninterrupted education, especially for girl students. Many young girls, despite challenges, attend school regularly, showing their determination and commitment to learning.
This initiative by OVOR is a strong step towards providing equal opportunities and a comfortable environment for female students. It reinforces the belief that every child, irrespective of background, deserves a clean and respectful space to learn and grow.
The school’s headmistress had personally requested support for the renovation, and OVOR responded with dedication. Teachers and students have expressed heartfelt gratitude, and the community hopes that this positive action will inspire more such collaborations in the future.

We conduct classes in 38 Government schools in remote villages of Tamil Nadu, India. Across 13 Districts covering over 5000 Students, every week with over 3475 person hours of effort put by Volunteers who teach English, Math & Computer subjects by 180 Teaching and Non Teaching volunteers per month. This sustained initiative not only brings education to kids at no expense to their parents, but also establishes a highly repeatable model that can be deployed at scale.
Skype Class
Government schools in Tamil Nadu, India are the most Economical and feasible mode to seek Education for kids from economically disadvantaged background. However, due to infrastructure and lack of better learning opportunity for English, Math & Computer Science there is high drop outs from Government schools. The parents bear the burden of Loan from private lenders to ensure quality education to their Children for their bright future. This puts debt burden on parents and Government schools are often shut down due to very low strength of students hence this leads to deprivation of Social justice to the Children of the parents who are daily wage earners. Most of the students who seek education in Government Schools are the Children of Daily wage earner & Farming community.
The “School in Cloud” program tries to eradicate this concern by taking English and Computer classes through Skype to the students in government schools. Which will enable the Children who cannot afford Private schools to continue their education in Government schools and also allow parents to seek education from government schools thus safeguarding themselves from the burden of debt.
Online Classes are easy way to reach out & contribute to the society by the Volunteers across globe with a commitment of One hour a Week. Our initiative leverages technology to connect volunteers from various parts of world with the students which acts as a motivational factor & an exciting mode of learning for them. The initiative also has enabled many Government school teachers to have an opportunity to learn usage of technology and Computers.

Since the permission from the District education officer was available, the headmasters were very cooperative in enabling the sessions. We can very clearly see the development of Students Confidence in interacting with new people, learning the language & improvement in Communication along with thought process. This initiative not only brings education to Children in a very attractive way, this also comes at no expense to the parents and is a simple model that can be deployed at large scale.
Hence the need for these sessions were determined as important & beneficial.

திருமதி ஜோதி ஒரு மிகச் சிறந்த மனநல ஆலோசகர். எங்கள் அரசுப் பள்ளிக் குழந்தைகளுக்காக கடந்த 4 ஆண்டுகளாக பலதரப்பட்ட மாணவர்களுக்கும், பெற்றோர்களுக்கும் சிறந்த முறையில் மன நல ஆலோசனை எந்த கட்டணமும் இன்றி செய்து கொண்டிருக்கின்றார்.
பள்ளிக்காக அவர் கொடுத்த பங்களிப்பில் ஒரு சில பட்டியலிட விரும்புகின்றேன் .
முதல் முதலாக திருமதி ஜோதி அவர்கள் வகுப்பு வாரியாக ஒவ்வொரு குழந்தையாக பேச வேண்டும் என அனுமதி கேட்டதற்கு இணங்க அனைத்து குழந்தைகளையும் அவரிடம் தனித்தனியாக பேச அனுமதித்தோம். குறைந்தது 3 மாதங்கள் ஒவ்வொரு குழந்தையிடமும் பேசி குழந்தைகளின் மன நலன் குடும்ப சூழல் மற்றும் கற்றலில் உள்ள சிக்கல் குறித்து ஆய்ந்து எங்கள் பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்களுக்கு குழந்தைகளின் கற்றலில் உள்ள சிக்கல் மற்றும் மன நலனில் சிக்கல் உள்ள குழந்தைகளை அடையாளம் காண்பித்தது எங்களுக்கு பேராதரவையும் தன்னம்பிக்கையையும் அளித்தது
ஒரு மாணவனை (வகுப்பில் குறைந்த நேரம் கூட இடத்தில் உட்கார மாட்டான்) ஹைப்பர் மாணவன் எனக் கண்டறிந்து அவனுக்கு தினமும் சில உடற்பயிற்சிகள் வழங்க வேண்டும் என ஆசிரியர்களுக்கு வழிகாட்டினார். குறைந்த நாள்களில் அம்மாணவனிடம் அதீத மாற்றம் கண்டோம்.
எங்கள் பள்ளியில் ஒருங்கிணைந்த கல்வி அளிப்பதில் ( டிஸ்லெக்சியா, ஆட்டிசம் , மல்டிப்பிள் டிசபிலிட்டி ஆகிய மாற்றுத்திறன் குழந்தைகளை உள்ளடக்கிய கல்வி) திருமதி ஜோதி அவர்களின் வழிகாட்டுதலால் கற்றலில் மாணவர்களுக்கு மிகுந்த ஆர்வம் ஏற்பட வழிகோலியது.
மாற்றுத் திறன் குழந்தைகளை உடைய பெற்றோருக்கு தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் பல ஆலோசனைகளை வழங்கி மேலும் தன்னம்பிக்கை அளித்துள்ளார்.
பலதரப்பட்ட மாணவர்களின் நடத்தைகளில் உள்ள சிக்கலை எங்கள் பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்கள் திருமதி ஜோதியிடம் ஆலோசனை பெற்று முன்னேற்றியுள்ளோம்.
மாணவன் வகுப்பறையில் எதேனும் குறும்பு செய்துக் கொண்டே இருப்பான் .கற்றலில் மிகுந்த பின்னடைவிலும் காணப்பட்டதால் அடிக்கடி ஆசிரியர்கள் அவனிடம் கடிந்துக் கொள்வர் .அந்த நிகழ்வைக் கண்ட திருமதி ஜோதி அவனுக்கு தன்னம்பிக்கை அளிக்கும் வகையில் அவனுடைய திறமையை ஆசிரியர்களுக்கு எடுத்துக் காட்டி புரிதல் ஏற்படுத்திய நிகழ்வு மறக்க முடியாதது.
மாணவர்களின் தனித் திறமைகளைப் பாராட்டி மாணவர்களுக்கு ஊக்கப்படுத்தி கற்றலில் ஈடுபட வழி செய்தார்.
எங்கள் பள்ளியில் மாற்றுத்திறன் உடைய சுமார் 7 குழந்தைகளும் மேலும் கற்றலில் சிக்கல்( எழுதுவதில் ,வாசிப்பதில்) உள்ள குழந்தைகள் ஒவ்வொரு வகுப்பிலும் சுமார் 3 மாணவர்கள் வீதம் இருந்தனர், அவர்களின் கற்றல் ஈடுபாட்டை வளர்க்க இம்மாதிரியான மாணவர்களுக்கு செயல்முறைக் கல்வி கொடுக்க எங்களுக்கு அலோசனையும் பெற்றோருக்கு புரிதலையும் ஏற்படுத்தி தந்த பல நிகழ்வுகளும் உண்டு,
திருமதி ஜோதி போன்ற மன நல ஆலோசகர்கள் அனைத்து பள்ளியிலும் (பாடம் சார்ந்த ஆசிரியரைப் போல்) கண்டிப்பாக இருந்தால் ஆசிரியர்களுக்கும். பெற்றோர்களுக்கும் குழந்தைகளுக்கும் பேராதரவாக இருக்கும் .கற்றலில் உள்ள சிக்கலையும் பெற்றோர் மற்றும் ஆசிரியர்களின் மன அழுத்ததையும் குறைத்து குழந்தைகளை குழந்தைகளாக பாவிக்கும் மனப்பாங்கு உருவாகும்.
திருமதி ஜோதிக்கு மிக்க நன்றிக்கு உரியவர்கள் எங்கள் பள்ளி பெற்றோரும் ஆசிரியரும் என்பதை பெருமையாக பதிகின்றேன்.
தற்போது அவரின் கட்டுரை குங்குமம் தோழியில் வெளிவந்தது கண்டு மனமகிழ்ச்சி அடைகின்றேன்.
'Neet' book distribution to Govt school students
நமது கிராமம் நமது பொறுப்பு அறக்கட்டளை சார்பாக நன்கொடையாக 75 கிலோ மதிப்புள்ள 'நீட்' புத்தகங்கள் மதுரை சுந்தராஜபுரம் மாநகராட்சி மேல்நிலைப் பள்ளிக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டது.
இந்த இரண்டு பள்ளிகளுக்கும் தமிழ் மற்றும் ஆங்கில 'நீட் 'புத்தகங்கள் வழங்கப்பட்டன.
நுழைவுத் தேர்வுக்குத் தயாராகும் ஏழை மாணவர்களுக்கு இந்தப் புத்தகங்கள் உதவியாக இருக்கும்
Our Village Our Responsibility Trust donated 75kg worth of NEET books donated to Sundarajapuram Corporation Higher Secondary school, Madurai.
Another 109 'NEET' books were also donated to NSS PALANGANATHAM Higher secondary schools, Madurai.
Tamil and English 'NEET' books were given to these two schools.
These books will be helpful for any poor students preparing for entrance exams.

இன்றைய நாள், அமெரிக்காவில் சுமார் 20 வருடமாக வாழ்ந்திட்டும் நம் மக்களின் வயிற்றுப்பசிக்கும் அறிவுப்பசிக்கும் தாமாக முன் வந்து தங்களின் நேரத்தையும் அறிவையும் என் கடைகோடி அரசுப் பள்ளி, அதுவும் துவக்கப் பள்ளி குழந்தைகளுக்காய் கடந்த ஒரு ஆண்டு காலமாக தொய்வின்று ஆங்கிலம் கற்பித்து வருபவர்களில் ஒருவர் திரு அருள் ஜோதி அவர்கள். இன்று எம் குழந்தைகளுக்கு வயிற்றுப் பசியாற்றிட்ட செயலும் நடந்தேறியது. வாழ்வாதாரம் இழந்த, பெற்றோர் பாதுகாப்பில்லா சூழலில் என் பள்ளியின் புளிய மர நிழலும், விளையாட்டிடமும் இக்குழந்தைகளுக்கு ஒரு பேராதரவு. அப்படி தஞ்சமடைந்த 35 குழந்தைகளுக்கு வயிற்றுப் பசியை போக்கியமைக்கு நன்றிகள் கோடி!

We are almost done with the compound wall construction for RC govt aided school, Ilanthaikulam, Virudhunagar District by Our Village Our Responsibility team.

There was a stringent process of interviewing students and the students had to have good English communication skills.
We chose & nominated 5 students Swetha, Nandhini, Durga, Sandhya, Sneha from Panchayat Union Middle School, Edayathankudi, Ariyalur District where “Virtual Skype class program” has been conducted by “Our Village Our Responsibility “ NGO for past 3 years.
All the 5 students interviewed brilliantly & confidently and have got selected.

Construction of Class rooms in Govt Higher Secondary School, Thulukkappatti
விருதுநகர் மாவட்டம் வத்ராப் ஒன்றியம் துலுக்கப்பட்டி கிராமத்தில் உள்ள அரசு உயர்நிலைப்பள்ளிக்கு இரண்டு வகுப்பறை கட்டிடம் SSS scheme மூலமாக கட்ட இருப்பதால் அதற்காக பள்ளி ஆசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் ஊராட்சி மன்ற தலைவர் ஆகியோருடன் நமது கிராமம் நமது பொறுப்பு சார்பாக ஆலோசனை நடத்தப்பட்டது.
